Sheila Bernus Dowd

Sheila is an independent event producer, grant writer and communications planner.  Her clients have included: Asian Americans for Community Involvement, People Acting in Community Together (PACT), SJB Child Development Center, Cogswell College, MACLA, KQED/KTEH and the Art of Yoga Project.

She coordinates special events, such as Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofit's Celebrity Waiter Luncheon, Project Cornerstone's Annual Breakfast and the Holiday Lantern Parade in downtown San Jose.

She blogs and consults on social media strategies, fund development, evaluation methods and communications planning.  She is a grant writer, with experience developing proposals large and small.

She has presented on these topics at workshops and conferences, including the Search Institute, the Independent Sector Annual Conference and Blog World Expo.

Prior to launching Dowd Consulting, Sheila served as Communications and Development Director and Associate Executive Director at Project Cornerstone.  She has also served as the Executive Director of Public Allies Silicon Valley.

John Dowd

Most recently, John, has been helping companies understand and build out their online presence leveraging the newest technologies and trends on the internet.  Prior to that, John worked at a web 2.0 startup creating an online classifieds ad platform and an internet naming platform. 

Dowd Consulting are Executive Producers of the upcoming Left Coast Live Music festival and founders of Lookiloos- a Silicon Valley Home and Garden website.
